Here we have my first entry in this blog. With this article we wanted to explain you how is everything going during this first weeks of EVS. Domi was the first of us coming to Porto. She is here since almost 5 weeks, Sophie since 3 weeks, Andrea since 2 weeks and I was the last one to come, 1 week ago.
I have to say that one of the best feelings in this life is to feel that people care about you, to feel like home without being there. When I came to Porto, Domi, Sophie, Andrea and Florentino picked me up at the airport. I think that this behaviour it’s very important because the first impression when you arrive to a different country it’s not than aggressive. You don’t feel lost thinking about how can you “arrive” to your adress or whatever.
After having left all of my stuff at home, I went to the Centro Social de Ermesinde to meet the people with who I am going to work with during almost one year. The day after, the 9th of November, we made a reunion all together to introduce ourselves… Meanwhile we were eating cakes, drinking teas…And enjoy life! The idea is to make weekly reunions to organize our work for the following week.
We were also waiting for going out all together on Saturday because we wished drinking typical wines in the city center and try a good restaurant to eat typical portuguese food.
This weekend the Centro Social is organizing a little party in the square nearby to drink vinho tinto and castañas!
We will inform you in the next entry!
